The 2012-S Acadia Quarters were the third designs issued in the 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters Program.

Obverse: The obverse has the same George Washington motif used on Washington Quarters from 1932 to date.

Reverse: The reverse of the coin shows the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse along the Atlantic coastline. It has the inscriptions, "Acadia, Maine, 2012 and E Pluribus Unum.
