The $50 Uncirculated Platinum Eagle had the lowest mintage for any $50 Uncirculated Platinum Eagle that was issued from 1997-2008. It's mintage was about 9,013. Most coins came in nice quality ranging from about MS68-MS69 condition. Coins in perfect MS70 condition were much more difficult to find. Any example of this date is a good coin to have since it's mintage is somewhat small for the series. Therefore, it should prove to be a key issue in the series.
