1994-S Marshall Islands $50 Mythological Mother Earth PR70DCAM { PCGS-5 }. Part of a 12-piece tribute to “Wonders of the Solar System”, this perfect silver round proof gem features an allegorical Mother Earth seated beside the planet. The Zodiac sign for Earth makes it look like she is seated in a wheelchair while holding two toddlers. In Greek mythology her name is Gaia. Although this is the silver cousin to the modern $10 brass coin Ron discussed in his book, he showed no pictures of either coin due to the difficulty of finding them outside of a complete set at that time. Unlike other coins allowed for this set that meet the “Mother Earth” name, this coin’s name includes the full moniker and actually shows her as a woman! Again, the point of this set. The silver version was not mentioned in Ron’s book; but comes with a mintage of 25,000, and one ounce of pure silver.
