DLRC 2/7/11 CAC Assurance. A big hit right at Lincolns nose which IMO is a significant distraction. I don't understand CAC. I presume that this coin is solid for the grade in spite of the distracting ding. If this is true then the coin above is under graded. I am so confused! lol 3/17/11

The 1909 V.D.B. Lincoln cent was highly hoarded and preserved in its' first year of issue. Consequently, many 1909 V.D.B. Lincoln cents survive in immaculate condition today.

Varieties: There are at least two different doubled dies known for this year. Type 1 is the most prominent variety of the two. The doubling is strongest on the date and on the word, Liberty.
