Vam-4, 80 repunched over the 79 in date. Only two DMPL Vam-4's have been graded with PCGS and this one being the single most finest. Two nicely frosted underlying serifs of the 7 show above the 8, the bottom of the crossbar shows in the top of the upper loop and the stem on the right side of the lower loop. The frosty underlying 9 shows within the 0 in the top left and bottom and a bulge shows outside to the left. The 1 has this die chip at the top right of the shaft. Also the first 8 has vertical polishing marks inside partially filled loops. Very rare with only 41 DMPL 1880-CC /79 Rev. of 78's graded with PCGS. This number stood at 37 for five years until 2009 when 4 more were added, most likely regrades.
