The reported mintage figure for 1825 Dimes is cloudy because some (as many as 100,000) of the coins included in the delivery figure are believed by experts to be 1824 Dimes, and some of the 1827 mintage figure may include some 1825 Dimes.  Taking all this into account, the "correct" mintage figure is probably around 400,000 coins.  As such, the 1825 Dime is somewhat scarce as a date.  The entire mintage is compose of five different individual die varieties which represent different combinations of four obverse and three reverse dies.  Of these, three varieties are common and two are scarce.

Enough high-grade 1825 Dimes exist that the PCGS CoinFacts Condition Census of the ten best examples starts at MS65 and goes to MS66.
