Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 Final Update: What better day to retire this set but on Easter Sunday. It was a long journey to complete the set and I reached two goals in completing this set. The first goal was to be the first to be 100% complete. The second goal was to have a number one Winged Liberty Dime Set. I wish each of the Mercury Dime variety set collectors the best of luck in reaching your individual goals.
The following two coins were not needed for the set at the time this set was retired. Full images can be seen under 1942-S, and 1934-D within the set.

I always liked the design of the Mercury Dimes, but they are too small for my old eyes. You have a wonderful set, a set anyone would be proud to say they put together. Some of the pictures show lucious looking coins.
Great job Tony, I too hope to join you someday. It may take a while since I am doing all the dimes not just Mercury's.

An amazing set! Congrats! You mention you only have two to go but I see more than that missing. You mention - 1941-S DDR FS-801 & 1945-D RPM FS-506 but the following items are also missing: 1937 DDO, 1941-S DDR, 1943-D DDO, 1945-S Possible S over D FS-511. These are just the ones I noticed quickly. Beautiful set you have.
Congratulations on your set! I enjoyed looking at all the pictures. One thing that I don't quite understand is what exactly is meant by "Homemade". Are these altered coins?
