mintage 22,000/ Definitely a HUGE strike difference between type 1 vs type 2!! when primarily collecting the new reverse its pretty hard except that even the best high graded old reverse coins are weak! When strike seems to count against Morgan's, doesn't apparently matter in early Quarter Eagles. . . . .Still crazy coin
TOP POP!! None finer at PCGS!! Absolute Awesome Coin!! IMPORTANT the ms65 /3682281 crossed (PCGS still shows valid which is not) to NGC /139371-023 selling on HA 8-10-2001 in Auction description says "Accompanied by PCGS insert ms65" so PCGS no longer holds a ms65 making this ms63+ pop 1 none finer! PCGS refuses to take ms65 off even with the obvious evidence! But fellow collectors letting you know there currently is no PCGS ms65. The worst part if it someday crosses back from NGC to PCGS it will show NGC pop1 and then PCGS pop2 for the same singular coin!! which gives collectors false hope for coins that don't exist. Which also throws off the registry value for the Finest Possible Set Rating

mintage 1,920 Great coin/ Only 112 coins in all grades/ Amazing coin!! almost didn't buy this coin based on the pics! that would have been a huge mistake. PL field coins just don't photograph well. Crisp strike/Reflective fields and rare!!
