1st time in Hong Kong in 1987.....dealer friend said Chopmarked Trade Dollars are common....Only buy the CC's.
Majority of Chopmarked coins then and now are not that attractive.
But in problem free Extra Fine and above they look good.
Honest Opinion is that Trade Dollar Series chopmarked can only gain momentum. Very few Trade Dollars are for sale in China and Hong Kong now

Thanks.....N1s can be and some are nice looking.
Point wise though; this set may never get over 10 with the N1s!
N1's arent always bad. Check out the 1873-cc N1 in Blackhawk's set. That is, in my opinion, the nicest chopmarked 1873-cc in existence, even as an N1.
No More N1 !!!
