During the mid 20th Century, the Denver Mint was a true workhorse, producing a good portion of the nation's circulating coinage. In fact, during the 1950s and early 1960s, output from the Denver Mint often dwarfed its older sister in Philadelphia. That wasn't always the case though, and from the 1910s through the 1930s, some great rarities emerged from the Denver Mint. In fact, the 1927-D $20 is likely the most valuable regular issue 20th century U.S. coin. Other tough acquisitions in this set would include the 1918/7-D Nickel, the 1916-D Mercury Dime, the 1921-D Walker, the 1914-D Lincoln Cent, the 1911-D Quarter Eagle and two more Double Eagles: the 1926-D and the 1931-D. With the requirement of the 1927-D $20, completing this set will require a fat wallet, but lots of coins in this set are quite affordable, so upwards of 85% can be completed with relative ease.
