The Norweb collection of Vermont Coppers ranks as one of best, most complete collections ever assembled. What’s missing here is the struck copy of Ryder 5, an enigmatic, contemporary counterfeit that PCGS does not recognize, but which set a record price for a Vermont Copper when it sold in Norweb I. The Norwebs had all of the "toughies" except for the 1787 Bust Left (Ryder 15), a coin whose population has expanded over the ensuing decades and which they could have obtained today with relative ease.
