Kneass-Gobrecht Transitional Head Large Cents (1835-1839)
描述:
Between 1835 and 1839 the mint coined a number of large cent "varieties" as it transitioned from the Coronet (or Matron) Head (started in 1816) to the Braided Hair series. I am slowly obtaining as many of these "transitional heads" (Breen pp 209-210) as I can in MS condition. I'm shooting for GEM MS65, but due to finances will have to settle for some in MS64. These coins include:
1835 Head of 1836
1835 Small 8, Stars
1835 Large 8, Stars
1836
1837 Plain Cords, Small Letters
1837 Plain Cords, Medium Letters (Type of 1836)
1837 Beaded Cords Type of 1838.

1839 Head of 1838
1839 Silly Head
1839 Booby Head
