Rainbow toned; Bubblegum-blowing Lincoln (The only +grade 1972 proof coin on the registry)
Checked for possible variety and errors. Clear hubbing doubling and split serifs across LIBERTY and motto. Tripling in serif of “1” in date. Doubling on inner edge of vertical bar of “7” in date. It looks like they tried to grind away the doubling/tripling… there’s evidence in the smaller recesses (ie. “2”) and then what appears to be marring from an abrasive tool in the body of the number/letter. RPM? D/D? The obverse is replete.
Toned I think 2020 James may have understated a bit with his brevity. Really lush rainbow toning. Images currently provided do not do the coin any justice. Resubmit!
Very Faint/No FG (earlier die state…?) DDR (Wing and tail feather tips [New Discovery…?]) Rosy toning *Not that I’m complaining, but this coin should not have been given a straight grade. It should have been: “Genuine, Not Gradable; XF Details, Wrap Machine Damage”
