Norweb lot 271. After digesting his large acquisition of 1940s-50s specimen sets from Mint employee Maurice LaFortune in 1952, Pittman appears to have sold a decent amount of them to the Norwebs in 1954 to recover some of his money from duplicates. An identically toned quarter is recorded in the Norweb sale as coming from Pittman, it is safe to assume that this dime has the same origins.
