The Barber half dollar series is arguably one of the most heavily circulated coins is USA history. Modern collectors recognize that this ‘workhorse of commerce’ is readily available in lower grades ….. the majority of the surviving population likely exists in VG or lower. Despite the abundance of circulated examples, obtaining a true lowball (PO01 or FR02) with original surfaces is a significant numismatic challenge. This collection … my fourth entry in the lowball arena … represents an effort to obtain the 73 coin set certifiable in lowball grade. Hopeful that you take a moment and enjoy the photographs … honest coins which have honorably served our nations commerce. The digital coin album created for this set contains images only of the ultimate lowball PO01 coins ... currently 25 of these tremendous PO01 coins ... and searching for more!

A ton of time and effort went into this set. I most respectfully regret seeing it retired. This was the first real champion lowball Barber half set.
I still enjoy looking at these Barbers. A lot of hard work went into this set.

Truly Vinny Kid ... a great question. I believe the entire circulation mint collection can someday be found in certifiable PO01/FR02 state .... and that is my initial goal. The ultimate goal ... of course ... is all 73 coins in PO01 ... I currently have 19 of them .. hopeful that time and dedicated searching will bring forth a few more.

This is a pretty good start for a Barber half dollar low ball set. Keep at it it only gets better as time goes on.
